Terms of Service
Effective 2026-09-12
Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Shipped account. Shipped is not built or offered for anyone younger, and no part of it is directed at children. You sign in with an email link or with Google; either way, you are responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping access to your email or Google account secure.
What you authorize Shipped to do
When you connect a payment or analytics provider - Dodo Payments, RevenueCat, Stripe, Lemon Squeezy, Polar, Paddle, Google Search Console, GitHub, or Vercel Analytics - you grant Shipped permission to read data from that provider using the credential or OAuth grant you gave it, and to compute and publish figures from that data on your project page, your badge, your cohort’s boards, and your share cards. Shipped only ever reads; it never writes to a connected account, and it never has the ability to move money through one.
You warrant that you own or control every account you connect, that you have the right to connect it and to have its data read this way, and that you are entitled to have the resulting figures published under your project. If a connected account belongs to someone else, or its figures include revenue that is not yours to claim, you must disconnect it and correct your project.
Provenance labels, and no guarantee of accuracy
Every figure on Shipped carries one of three labels. Verified means it was read directly from a provider API. Derived means Shipped computed it from Verified inputs using a formula Shipped publishes. Declared means you typed it yourself; it is shown separately and is never counted in a Verified total.
A Verified label means the number came from the provider, not that the provider’s data is complete, current, or free of the provider’s own errors. Shipped does not audit connected accounts, does not verify that a provider’s customers are real or unrelated to you, and makes no guarantee that any figure is accurate, and no figure on Shipped is a forecast.
Cohort visibility
A cohort is a group of builders sharing progress with an instructor. If you join one, its instructors and its other members can see your project’s Verified dollar figures on the cohort’s boards, even for a project you otherwise keep private. Joining a cohort by invite link is your consent to that visibility; it does not change who can see your project anywhere else.
Public pages, badges, and share cards
A project set to public gets a page anyone can visit, an embeddable badge, and share cards generated from its current figures. Setting a project to public is your decision to publish those figures under your handle. You can change a project back to private, but a badge or share sheet already saved or cached elsewhere may keep showing an older figure until it is refreshed.
The ship log
The ship log is where you post updates about your project. Post your own work and words. Do not post anything illegal, anything that infringes someone else’s rights, anything that harasses or threatens another person, or anything designed to mislead a reader about what your project is or what it earns.
Reports, hidden projects, and operator actions
Anyone can report a public project. Shipped’s operator can hide a reported project from public view while a report is looked at, and records the reason for doing so. A hidden project stays visible to its own builders, who can see the operator’s note and correct the issue. This is a moderation tool, not a substitute for a legal process, and Shipped may take other steps - including suspending or terminating an account - for a serious or repeated violation of these terms.
Marketplace conduct
Listing, buying, or selling a project on Shipped’s marketplace is also governed by the marketplace terms, which this document incorporates by reference. Where the two conflict on a marketplace matter, the marketplace terms control.
No brokerage and no financial advice
Shipped is not a broker, an investment adviser, a payment processor, or an escrow provider, and nothing on Shipped is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Figures, formulas, and listings are informational. Decide what to build, buy, sell, or invest in on your own judgment, and with your own advisers where it matters.
Intellectual property
You keep ownership of your project’s content, images, and ship log posts. You grant Shipped a license to store, display, and distribute that content as part of operating the service - your project page, badge, share cards, cohort boards, and marketplace listings all depend on that license. Shipped’s own name, design, and software are Shipped’s.
Disclaimers
Shipped is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Shipped does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every figure it displays is correct.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Shipped (operator name pending) is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of Shipped, including a figure displayed inaccurately, a marketplace sale gone wrong, or a decision made on the strength of anything shown here.
Termination and deletion
You can delete your account at any time from settings. Deletion destroys every connected provider credential you hold before anything else happens, then removes any project you own alone - its public page, badge, and API responses read as gone, not merely missing - and finally removes your account. A project you co-own with another builder is not deleted when you leave it; the other owner keeps it. Shipped may suspend or terminate an account for a violation of these terms or the marketplace terms.
Changes to these terms
Shipped may update these terms. A material change will update the effective date above; continuing to use Shipped after a change takes effect is acceptance of the new terms.
Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by a governing law to be confirmed by counsel before launch. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of Shipped will be brought in a venue to be confirmed by counsel before launch.
